Story archive

We spend our lives telling stories, about this, that and the other. Some stories grip us so much they keep us awake at night, others send us to sleep at night for differing reasons. Some stories are based on amazing truths, some are the fictional work of fantasists and we wish they were amazing truths. Some are short but sweet, others are rushed. Some are long and epic, others just waffle on and on. Some stories are messy, others are tidy. Some stories make us laugh, some make us cry, some make us think; but most importantly they make us feel.

That’s what it’s all about. So sometimes we wish we could skip the critics, the hype, the A listers rambling on about pointless claptrap, and just relax and open mindedly read a story that could stay with us forever.”

    Excellent archive! 🙂
I think it would be a good idea to do that WAM story internet archive like you said. Let me know if you need any help!

Glad you liked the story. When you mention your other idea, i’m assuming you previously posted in this thread under the name anonymous, I’ll certainly write some more GYOB based stories and am always open to ideas. Maybe I’ll go for the WAG special idea next time.

  4. Name says:

This is really useful, it makes the stories so much more easy to find and identify and it half makes it look like there are less than there are.

  5. Anon says:

What happened to HenryLee’s Slime series?

  6. Name says:

Either he has come back to finish the job of else you another mod has realized you have to finish the job for him.
I hope the Daily Mail had nothing to do with it.

Probably best to remove the gungeystories link, that group has become overrun with spam!

    • TellyGunge says:

Sadly so, but there are some real gems buried under the spam (go to messages and click to view earliest). The group was founded by Mucky Vicky, who has written some of the best WAM stories ever, and is definitely worth digging about in!

Thanks for posting a link to my blog – I really appreciate that. 🙂

Just noticed that Top of the Slops isn’t listed on the celeb story index. As such I’ve listed each person involved and which parts of which episodes they get messy in.

    Alissa White-Gluz
Top of the Slops Ep 2 part 2

    Angela Gossow:
    Top of the Slops Ep 1 parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6

Charlotte Cooper, Doris Yeh, Karin Axelsson, Lindsey “LynZ” Ann Way, Mia Coldheart, Miko (real name unknown, often written as ミコ), Morgan Lander, Orianthi:
Top of the Slops Ep 2, both parts so far

Cristina Scabbia, Maria Brink, Simone Simons
Top of the Slops Ep 1, all parts

    Hayley Williams
    Top of the Slops Ep 1 parts 2, 3, 4 and 5

Jessie J, Kesha Rose “Ke$ha” Sebert, Nicola Roberts, Taylor Swift
    Top of the Slops Ep 1 parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

All the contestants from episode 2 appeared in but weren’t named in Ep 1 Part 6, so whether they count or not is arguable, but I wouldn’t count them personally. Other than that, K Is For is already there and the Kayotics stories don’t feature real people.

Wow, just realised that there’s a celeb archive here (although I’ve fixed a few mistakes I noticed). That said, I can’t believe Karen Gillan can win the GGP then go so long without being added to the archive. I mean what does she have to do?

  11. TellyGunge says:

    Thanks for your help guys.

Yeah, so far I’ve only compiled PML’s, MC’s and my own stories. I’m impressed by how long the list already is and it’s less than half done! It’s a bit of a painstaking task so I greatly appreciate your help. If other authors could take the time to provide lists for their own stories then that would be great.

  12. yuck53 says:

Is there a direct list for the A thru Z stories on here somewhere? Shouldn’t there be sections for linking all stories that belong together but don’t have a single writer to them?

    • TellyGunge says:

There’s a celebrity A-Z index, though it’s not complete (a lot more work than I anticipated).

      • yuck53 says:

I’m hoping that’s your way of saying that that is the first of many and its complexity is keeping you from getting around to other things otherwise I suspect I may not have explained myself properly.
On this blog there are a large number of stories that make up part of a series and as they grew were taken on by various writers.
This is the story archive page and as such the first port of call for people looking for particular stories.
The first story series that comes to mind is the A-Z. PML commissioned it, wrote most it and there is a complete list of the series on his author page.
However, MCPridz wrote one, VXS wrote one and you wrote two and those one can all be found on you own Author pages.
The observation here is that if a newbie comes to the site they might happen upon one of the series fragments and get frustrated trying to find the rest. A link to these stories even if it’s just to the middle of PML’s list where they appear could help solve or reduce this.
There is also a section, possibly incomplete, for CSWL which is brilliant, however the link to it is separated from the actual story archive from three other sections and may not be the first place that a newcomer would look to find the stories.
Again a link on this page would help sort this.
The point is that stories that are connected by theme but NOT necessarily by writer need means to group them together so they can be found by people who stumble on their partners without perceiving their significance or being able to find the others.
        Hope that makes it clearer.
