Music Monday Extra: Metal Sploshing Mad

Brownie points for anyone who gets that reference.

BucketOfGoop quite rightly pointed out that with more celebrities using social networking, there’s more behind-the-scenes pictures and video from music videos turning up. There were pictures of Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy splattered with mud and fake blood a while ago. Since then the video has come out and… Well, it’s not quite what I was expecting. The song itself is called “Cruelty Without Beauty” and is basically about how testing products on animals is cruel. The video has footage which is supposed to demonstrate this, interspersed with the messy Angela performing the song in a dirty room. Do not watch if this kind of content repulses you.

On a much, much nicer note, I went searching on Facebook to see if there was any behind the scenes stuff for some of my favourite messy music videos, starting with Epica (who else?). While I didn’t find any behind the scenes stuff, I did find a few promotional pictures for their latest album, “Requiem for the Indifferent” which might be of interest.
