Music Monday Double Feature: Warrant and Jewel

Two videos this week with the same theme: women getting soaked by fire hoses.

First off, some cheesy glam metal from 1990. It’s Warrant “Cherry Pie”.

I can’t help thinking that they missed a trick there. It’s hardly a subtle song and the video gets ridiculously literal at times. Still, there’s a couple of shots of the girl getting… well, see this week’s theme.

The second video this week is Jewel with “Intuition”.

The video is supposed to be a parody of music videos, with the fire hose scene (which starts at around 3:29) being a reference to the wet sari scene trope. Parody or not, this is still one of the better wetlook scenes I’ve seen in a music video. The song itself is alright I guess. It’s no Run to the Hills but it’s listenable.

Next week is repost week, then back to regular service the week after.
