You Bet Your Own Back- Episode 2.2 – Update

“Welcome back to You Bet Your Back, I’m Emma Crosby and once again we have two ladies seeking payback and have gambled to do it.”

 

 

“Very shortly I will be updating everyone on how the voting has gone to date, and before that we will get our gambling ladies to reveal which level of gunging they have gone for, but first let’s bring out ladies and see how they think the voting has been going, so first please welcome back Christine and Alex.”

 

 

 

 

“Christine, you nominated Alex, how do you think the vote is going?”

 

“Emma, I am certain that Alex will be gunged, I mean doesn’t that white dress look like the perfect blank canvas for gunge.”

 

 

 

 

 

Alex looks nervously down at her dress imagining, as everyone else is now, it covered in multi coloured gunge.

 

“And Alex, Christine seems pretty confident that you will be facing a trip to the chair, do you agree?” asks Emma.

 

“I do not, I think that Christine forgets that not only is the viewer’s choice between her and me, in which case I could be in trouble, but it is also a choice between me and Laura, and I think more people would want to see Laura gunged.”

 

Emma continues, “speaking of the choice to be made, let’s bring out our second pairing, please welcome back gambler Emma Willis and potential victim Laura Whitmore.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Emma, are you still confident of getting your revenge on Laura?”

 

“I certainly am, I am sure the voters will side with me.”

 

“And Laura, how do you think the voting is going?”

 

 

 

 

 

“I think I should be ok, after all I think plenty will want to see Alex gunged,” answers Laura.

 

“Thank you Laura, ladies we have come to that part of the show that our gamblers choose the level of gunging that they wish to inflict on their victims in the knowledge that if they don’t win your vote that they will have to suffer at the same level.  I would also remind you all that there are 3 levels to choose from imaginatively named 1, 2 and 3 and that not only do you get more buckets to use on your victim but you get access to messier gunges at higher levels.  As an additional enticement, if a level 3 gunging is selected, then our victim must suffer the forfeit in her underwear.”

 

Despite the fact that this is known from the first episode, there are still wolf whistles and shouts from the crowd and uncomfortable looks from the 4 ladies on stage.

 

“So let’s turn to Christine first, what level are you choosing?” asks Emma.

 

“Emma, I am very confident that I will win, and I think that Alex’s dress would cover too much in a gunging, so I am going for a level 3 gunging,” announces Christine to the cheers of the crowd and a worried look from Alex.

 

“Thank you Christine, and Emma, are you confident enough to go for level 3, or is it another level for you?”

 

“I was planning on going for  a level 2, but I am a bit worried that as Christine as gone for a level 3, that were I not to do so then this would cause her to get more votes than me, so I will also go for a level 3 gunging for Laura.”

 

“Wow, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it whatever the result you can be sure that two underwear clad ladies will be getting gunged, and to give you an idea I will let you know how the voting is going to date.  We always try to guess before an episode starts how it will go, and everyone back stage expected this to be very close, but it certainly isn’t turning out that way, in fact when the voting lines opened, the ratio of votes was almost 5:1.  It has improved slightly but for every one vote one of the ladies is getting the other is getting two so that of the 405 votes cast to date, one lady has got 270 which is double the votes of the other and that lady is

Laura is the first to cheer this result causing Emma to look oddly at her. “Laura, I don’t think you understand me, Emma has got 270 votes to get her revenge on you while Christine has only got 135 votes to get her revenge on Alex. So with the way it currently lies you will be sitting in our chair in your underwear getting covered in gunge.”

 

Laura’s face drops with Emma’s statement, Christine too looks upset at this news. On the other hand Alex and Emma look delighted.

 

“Well Christine, you are gambling and you are losing, is there anything you can say to change the voters might?” Asks Emma.

 

“Emma, can I just ask everyone to imagine what Alex would look like in a pool of the messiest gunge imaginable, how much she deserves it and vote to make it happen,” says Christine sounding slightest.

 

“Alex you must be happy,” says Emma.

 

“I am, but can everyone keep voting, nobody wants to see a turnaround at this point.”

 

“I am sure that this is a sentiment echoed by Emma.”

 

“It is, all those people who voted for me to get my own back, don’t see your vote be in vain, vote for me,” says Emma, a wide smile on her face.”

 

“Finally Laura, there is no escape for you is there?” says Emma, more in the form of a statement then a question.

 

“It can still turnaround I believe, please, please, please vote for Christine to get her revenge on Alex, and I will promise you that Emma will end up completely covered.”

 

“Thank you ladies, the next time we are all here on stage, voting lines will be closed and fates will be sealed, so will it all turnaround, or will everything remain the same, remember the choice is yours so keep voting and we will see you then,” says Emma ending the update portion of the show.
